DOL Penalties Increase for 2021

 

The Department of Labor (DOL) published the annual adjustments for 2021 that increases certain penalties applicable to employee benefit plans. The 2021 adjustments are effective for penalties assessed after January 15, 2021 with respect to violations occurring after November 2, 2015.

Employers should review all health and welfare plan documents carefully to ensure they are meeting DOL requirements.
